Top Shares of Non-metallic mining (Basic materials) London Stock Exchange

Mining and metals are basic materials in modern life due to the large number of uses we give them in our routine. Many times (if not most) people do not realize that they are using a certain metal or mineral, but the reality is that they are essential in many of the items we buy.

The mining industry has had a great growth in the last century and people are still interested in continuing to exploit those goods that we can find on earth because, without them, we would no longer be able to manufacture many devices that we use in our day to day.

Society is very involved in the acquisition of these materials and, even more interesting, many companies from other sectors depend on them, so it is a fairly safe business that does not depend on many external agents that harm the business beyond supply and demand.

In the case of non-metallic minerals, we find 4 groups:

- Group 1: Saltpeter, iodine, lithium salts, borates, sodium chloride and potassium salts.

- Group 2: Calcium carbonate, gypsum, pozzolana, clays, iron oxide, pyrophyllite, cement and lime.

- Group 3: Phosphates, kaoliniferous clays, siliceous resources, sodium sulfate, diatomite, sulfur, calcium carbonate, talc, feldspar, rocks, bentonite, abrasives, wollastonite, perlite, barite, aluminum sulfate and cymite.

- Group 4: Sodium carbonate, magnesium, asbestos, aluminum oxide, chromite, natural graphite, andalusite, fluorite and mica.

Thanks to these minerals, many products that we consume daily are manufactured and for this reason, in many cases, they are essential materials and that companies cannot stop buying for their transformation and commercialization.

Currently, these are the most prominent non-metallic mining companies on the stock market. In each one, you can find data and evolution to assess the possibility of investing in one through the purchase of shares.
