Everyone knows what a bank is. When we are little, our parents, our uncles, our grandparents and every adult person talks about the bank, interest rates, loans... at that age we care little about it and we don't even know about it, but when we grow up, things change.

As we grow older, we need a bank account in which to store our savings so that we have something to throw away when we start adult life. This option is totally optional since many people prefer that children not manage their money until they get it for themselves with a job.

Once we start working, having a bank account is essential to be able to enter the payroll at the end of each month. Wholesale banking is one in which its clients are large companies that seek personalized attention and that their bank knows the market perfectly specialized financial products. In these banks, quality usually prevails over quantity, that is, it is better to have a few companies that have a large economic volume than many smaller ones.

We can divide wholesale banking into two different types:

- Business banking: In this type of wholesale banking, transactions are made with the company's liabilities. To do this, companies are offered credit services, short and long-term loans, renting, factoring, leasing...

Investment banking: This wholesale banking is responsible for helping those companies that wish to expand their business through the purchase or merger with other companies and advice to departments and management.
