We could say that discretionary consumption is the one that sparks life, that makes us enjoy the moment and live experiences, for that reason, people are eager to make those expenses. This is possible if the family economy is stable and the income is higher than the basic household expenses. In addition to the internal economy of each person, the national or world economy must also be taken into account. What do we mean by this? That, even if a person has enough money to buy whims, they will consume fewer products or services if their country is in a financial crisis due to the fear and uncertainty that this situation causes.
