To talk about machinery, the beginnings of these articles that help us so much in our day to day and that we now see almost essential to live are essential. It is true that, although human beings have lived for many years without machines and could survive perfectly without them, it would be impossible to maintain the same level and quality of life.
Before its appearance, people had to make enormous efforts to perform simple tasks and even others could not be done. Life expectancy was much lower than today and this is due (in part) to the introduction of machines since with them we do not have to make so many physical efforts.
The true introduction of machines in society occurred as a result of the Industrial Revolution, in the middle of the 18th century. This Revolution began in Great Britain, but ended up spreading within a few years throughout Western Europe and America. This meant a change in the society that we knew until now, because humanity went from being governed by an economic system based on agriculture, livestock and trade, to move to a more industrial economic system, in large cities and with machinery.
This process caused significant changes in people's lives because production went from being very slow and expensive to producing more quantity, in less time and with fewer staff.
The wealth of the countries began to increase and the people who used to work in the countryside were able to dedicate their lives to other more urban work due to the low supply of work in agricultural jobs (helped by the machinery created to facilitate work) and the high job offer in industries.
