Banks are companies that trade with money. At first it can be a bit confusing since, in the rest of the entities, the people who consume a product or service give money for it, however, the bank is the one who gives the money to the people who need it. This is possible thanks to the people who deposit their money and savings there because the bank pays them to use its services.
So, if the bank gives money to those who need it and also gives it to those who have it, how do they get the money? Very simply, the money lent to people who need it has to be returned with an interest that exceeds the "gift" that it gives to people who deposit their money in the bank. Without banks, a very large percentage of the population would not be able to access their own home due to high real estate prices, in addition to having to pay taxes and furniture. Even young people could not have a car because, although they are less expensive than houses, a good period of savings is also needed to be able to afford a car without asking for a loan or financing.
Banks are one of the bases of the economy of a country and even worldwide and that is why they are essential in today's capitalist society in which the management of money and its movement is essential so that people can have a decent life.
