There are four essential characteristics that govern service companies:

- Intangibles: As we have mentioned before, the person does not physically or visually perceive the service, he simply recognizes its benefits. Of course, that can be a problem due to the blind purchase. What does this mean? That people feel safer when we buy something that we can see and touch to see if we like it. In the case of services, until the work is done and paid for, we cannot perceive if we like the result or not.

- Inseparable: As a general rule, the services are provided in one, while the products can be separated into several issues and different locations.

- Ephemeral: If a service is not consumed, it cannot be stored for future occasions. In the case of customers, once that service has been consumed, they must re-contract a new one to be able to enjoy it.

- Variables: When buying a product, you can find the same in different stores, different distributors and different locations, but in the case of services, each one depends on many environmental factors, the person who offers it, where it is provided ...
